Why did you choose BIM A+?
In 2019, while working at an engineering firm, I was tasked with automating structural design using Dynamo. The experience was so engaging that I sought to delve deeper into the field. A quick Google search led me to BIM A+, and the rest is history.
What did you enjoy the most about your programme?
I cherished the international learning environment and the opportunity to interact with peers from around the world.
How has your degree helped you in your career?
Earning dual degrees from two European universities distinguished me during my PhD application. During the interview, showcasing my assignments and thesis work left a strong impression on the panel.
What is your top piece of advice for prospective students?
Go for it!
What have you been up to since graduating from BIM A+?
After graduation, I worked in Italy for a few months before commencing a PhD researcher position in Norway.
Short Biography
Born in Zambia, Lombe pursued Civil Engineering at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, obtaining both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. She gained experience at NWE and Aurecon/Zutari engineering firms before enrolling in the BIM A+ Master’s programme in 2020. Currently residing in Norway, Lombe is researching innovative methods to enhance sustainability in the construction industry.
