Abstract

This thesis deals with the stage experience, in conclusion of the master “BIM manager”, at Deerns Italy S.p.a and the next working experience at Deerns France.

In the six months of stage at Deerns Italy, he worked on the Torre Hadid project in the Milan neighborhood called City Life, having the role of Bim Mep Specialist. During this period, he had the possibility to increase his knowledge and to improve his ability in using Revit Mep and Solibri softwares.. It was very significant to have the opportunity to work in an efficient team-oriented group, of which the capability of collaboration was very helpfull.

This enterprise firmly believes in innovation and it doesn’t esitate in giving space to young people, even if they have just started. In fact, after six months,he obtained to move to Deerns France in Paris. Differently from the Italian one, the office in Paris is not big, counting around fifty employees. These conditions have been fruitful to approach the BIM procedures so that to become BIM coordinator.

In the following, the last two design experiences are presented, on which the student worked by preparing a BIM protocol and by using different softwares and tools, such as Dynamo, Flux, Space Naming Utility, Bim Link. These latter enable to standardise some processes:

• Project CCR-CCU for the SNCF (French Railway Society), in which the student worked as BIM MEP Coordinator, consists in a directional and control center on a 4680m2 surface with a working budget estimated around 15.000.000 €. Actually  the APD stage of this project (corresponding to the Definitive Project) is going to be concluded and the PRO stage (corresponding to the Executive Project) is going to start soon.

• Competition for the project of the LOT C in the ZAC VILLEURBANNE La Soie for the La Métropole du Grand Lyon. This site counts a total surface of 5 559 m². In the southern part (totally extended for 2650 m²) 8 300 m² of covered surface for social accommodations and 1 000 m ² of locals for activities will be realized. For this project Deerns France will be, as well as MEP designer, BIM responsible.
