Why did you choose the BIM A+?
While studying my Master’s in Architecture – Digital Design in Iran, I learned parametric design and visual programming with Grasshopper. Later, I had a course on BIM and realized that I could apply my knowledge of parametric design within the BIM process and gain even more valuable skills by exploring this field further. This motivated me to look for programs that focused specifically on BIM. When I discovered BIM A+, I was impressed by its strong and well-structured curriculum, which covers many key areas of BIM. It seemed like the best path to grow professionally and build a solid career in the BIM field. Another important reason was that the program is offered by esteemed European universities and supported by scholarships, which made it even more attractive.
What did you enjoy the most about your programme?
What I enjoyed the most was the structure of the program and how it covered many of the essential topics needed to enter the industry and work in the BIM field. It offered a good balance between theory and practice—providing both solid theoretical content and practical exercises that helped me apply what I learned in real-world situations.
How has your degree helped you in your career?
BIM A+ helped me gain solid knowledge about the BIM process—much deeper than what many professionals learn just through industry experience. After starting my career in BIM, I noticed that this foundation gave me an edge over my colleagues, allowing me to grow quickly and take on more responsibility with confidence.
What is your top piece of advice for prospective students?
Take full advantage of the opportunity to learn from the instructors and your coursework during the program. You won’t have another chance to go through the material in such depth, so make sure to absorb as much as you can while you have the time and resources.
What have you been up to since graduating from the BIM A+?
After graduating in Portugal, I began working at the company that collaborated with me on my dissertation. Later, I joined an international multidisciplinary consultancy firm, where I have been involved in several high-end projects worldwide, particularly in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. I have been promoted twice, and for the past few months, I have been working as a BIM Manager, managing large projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
