BIM A+ Masterclass: openBIM in practice with IFC Addict

Yesterday, our BIM A+ students had the opportunity to learn directly from Evelio Sánchez, the creator of IFC Addict and one of the most passionate advocates for openBIM and IFC.

As part of the BIM A+2 module – “Modelling in Architecture and Engineering”, Evelio led a hands-on masterclass using Bonsai and Blender to model a complete building — showcasing how open-source tools can empower designers to explore IFC-based workflows in depth.

At BIM A+, we actively promote open standards and open technologies as key enablers of transparency, collaboration, and innovation in the built environment.
